Cluttered Mind

I used to think "I have enough stuff going on in my head that I don't want to clutter my mind with all that "God this" and "God that" jargon. But I've come to realize just how many thoughts I have flying to my brain all day long, and how many of them are completely useless and even counterproductive! I want to replace all this junk with thoughts and principles of God, especially replacing those thoughts that are negative, self-critical, and I get into the habit of putting myself down with! Imagine what your life and energy would be like if you stopped putting yourself down all the time, and just thought about the good, and happy things in life! It's like a blank slate. Get rid of all that negative and useless self-criticism, and skepticism, and irrational fears, and worries, and instead fly with hope and faith and freedom that thoughts of God can give you! Sounds kind of over-idealistic? Well, why not give it a try. Observe your thoughts for one day, and see how many of them actually create negative energy and emotions and act to keep you trapped in patterns of unhappiness and bondage to your past baggage! Replace the old with the good and new.
